Requirement

• Remove safety issues from playground and footpaths

• Resolve issues with standing water on playground and footpaths

• Create a safe surface for all users and enhance the look of the school

Solution

• Take up all old paving slabs and send to be recycled

• Adjust all manhole covers to new line and level

• Install new drainage channels to remove and standing surface water

• Supply new and regrade subbase to new line and level

• Lay a 60mm binder course

• Lay a 30mm surface course layer

Results

• New level safe playground for the students at St Mary and St John’s

• Improved appearance of the hard surface around the school
