Cutteslowe Park car parking improvements
Client: Oxford City Council
Project: Refurbishment of car park
Department: Highways & Engineering
Date of completion: July 2018
Budget: £230k
Client
Oxford City Council is the local district council serving the City of Oxford.
Requirement
Cutteslowe Park is a large park used extensively for sports and recreation. Existing parking needed to be extended and improved to meet customer needs whilst retaining the green ethos of the park. The park was in constant use by members of the public and the works needed to be completed safely and with the minimum amount of disruption.
Solution
Two areas of the park were identified for improvement. The parking areas were constructed using concrete grass-crete with a topsoil and seed fill so that the parking areas look green and blend well into the adjacent grass areas.
Results
The end result was a high quality, visually appealing car park delivered to a high end specification and within budget by our skilled technicians.
