Summary of apprenticeships with ODS in 2025

 

Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician Level 3

Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. Plumbing and domestic heating technicians can find themselves working inside or outside a property. By the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will have satisfied the requirements for registration as EngTech and to obtain a CSCS card

Salary: £14,566.11 year 1, ranging to £ 24584 in year 4 (or National Minimum Wage for age group)

Entry requirements:

Applicants are required to have grade A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English GCSE, or equivalent, and will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.

Level 3 takes up to 48 months studying with Abingdon & Witney College, Bicester Campus

Horticulture Apprentice Level 2

Horticulture operatives Apprentice will learn to create and maintain horticultural spaces. This will include planting and maintenance activities, frequently working outdoors year-round and in all weathers, and at heights when pruning taller plants and hedges. You will work in ODS Group Parks & Open Spaces in keeping with good horticultural practice, with a particular emphasis on quality of work. You will learn to use and maintain a full range of horticultural equipment.

Salary: £ 14566.11

Entry requirements: Applicants are likely to have 4 GCSEs A*- C / 9 - 4, including Maths and English, or equivalent, and will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.

Level 2 takes 10 months with Abingdon & Witney College. (Mixture of Abingdon and Common Leys Farm Campus)

Business Administration Level 3.

The Business Administration Apprentice will deliver effective, high quality administrative support and customer service (to both internal and external customers) to the support the company’s Corporate Services functions.  Assist in providing first line support to employees and managers by phone and by email for HR, L&D and Management information (MI). You will answer enquiries and provide basic guidance in accordance with policies and processes. Help ensure that data and personal records are kept up to date, accurate and confidential, supporting all functions by taking notes at meetings, creating reports for colleagues and managers.

Salary: £ 14654 year 1, ranging to £ 17,144 year 2.

Entry requirements: Applicants are required to have grade A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English GCSE, or equivalent, and will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.

Level 3 takes 18 months with Abingdon & Witney College.
